Georgia-Pacific has completed its upgrades to the corrugated facility in Bradford, Pennsylvania, which began in early 2023. The total investment amounted to nearly $34 million, funding the installation of new equipment to enhance the plant’s operations.

The improvements include a new rooftop cyclone, a new corrugator, and two new converting lines, all designed to increase the plant’s efficiency. These modernized systems will allow for better throughput, the ability to handle larger products, and enhanced printing capabilities with up to four colors to better serve customer demands.

Daniel Brooks, area general manager, shared his enthusiasm, saying, “Though the upgrades took time, we are thrilled to have an updated facility that our employees, customers, and the community can take pride in. Our team is committed to the Bradford community, and with this investment, we are well-equipped to produce high-quality corrugated boxes for customers across Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio, and western/central New York.”

In addition to the facility upgrades, Georgia-Pacific’s Bradford plant made a significant contribution to the local community, donating $10,000 to the Bradford Township Fire Department for the purchase of new fire trucks.

Mario Williams, area operations leader, emphasized, “We aim to be valued partners in our community, just as we are with our customers and employees. Supporting the fire department helps ensure they have the resources to perform their work safely and effectively.”

Since Georgia-Pacific took over the Bradford plant in 1990, it has employed approximately 125 people. Over the past decade, the company has invested over $40 million in capital improvements at the facility.
