Griffith Foods Brazil Empowers Future Agricultural Technicians with Regenerative Agriculture

09/20/2024

Griffith Foods Brazil is cultivating positive change by collaborating with ETEC, a public technical school in Jundiaí City, to equip the next generation of agricultural technicians with knowledge of regenerative agriculture. Volunteers from Griffith Foods—students, teachers, and staff—came together to establish an agroforestry system, transforming the school's grounds into a practical laboratory for regenerative agriculture, benefiting 120 students. Agroforestry, an approach that combines shrubs with crops or livestock, is a recognized form of regenerative agriculture, as defined by the Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education organization.

Through this initiative, students gain both theoretical and hands-on experience in the new agroforestry lab. Beginning in 2024, every graduating agricultural technician will have the opportunity to develop practical skills in regenerative agriculture practices within this unique learning environment.

This effort is part of Griffith Foods' broader sustainability mission. By 2030, the company aims to make significant strides toward a more sustainable future, guided by its comprehensive 2030 Aspirations strategy.
