Griffith Foods has been a dedicated partner of the Greater Chicago Food Depository for many years. Collaborating with the Food Depository and its 800 community initiatives, we strive to address the pressing issue of hunger affecting 1 in 5 households in Cook County, where our headquarters is based.
We proudly support the Food Depository by offering our expertise, volunteer hours, and financial contributions. In fiscal year 2023, Griffith Foods contributed $40,000 as the lead sponsor for Hunger Action Month in September and helped package thousands of meals for local families. In honor of Dean Griffith, we continued our annual tradition by donating 44,000 pounds of pancake mix.
Additionally, our Research and Development (R&D) team has partnered with the Food Depository to create nutritious, easy-to-prepare meal recipes and seasonings. This aligns with the Nourish Project’s goal of expanding kitchen capacity, cold storage, distribution, and access to ready-to-eat meals for local food pantries.
