Iran In Deep Discussion With The U.N. Councils To Make A Revised Nuclear Treaty

03/14/2015

The members of the Security Council of the U.N. along with its “six powers” are to decide on the Iran nuclear ban.
Resolutions to that effect are likely to be finalized by June.

According to Reuters- 12 March 2015- “Western officials” have reported that meetings are being held by U.N. along with its influential global members, which included the permanent five U.N. Security Council members, namely China, Russia, Britain, the United States and France, along with Iran and Germany, to discuss on a possible resolution being passed in order to amend the “U.N. sanctions on Iran”, provided “a nuclear agreement” takes place with Tehran. In fact these talks are only preparing the ground for “difficult negotiations” which are most likely to take place sometimes in the course of next week regarding the constriction of “Iran’s nuclear ability”.

In the past U.N. has passed an “embargo” on Iran along with eight different resolutions, out of which four strictly forbid Iran to trade in “ballistic missiles” or any other material of this nature, like uranium which supports the growth of “atomic technology” in the country.

However, Iran takes it as a ‘wake-up call’, for the country fears that other first world countries like the European Union or the Unites States of America will exploit this legal opportunity and impose rigorous measures on Iran. Consequently, they even violate the U.N. restrictions on the development of nuclear technology in a country and justify it by portraying it to be only necessary arrangement “imposing additional penalties on Iran”.

In fact, John Kerry, Secretary of U.S. informs, supported by forty seven senators of the Republican through “an open letter” address the officials of Iran, that the U.S. will not be bound by the U.N. nuclear treaty as the next president may choose not to execute it. So the effect of the treaty is likely to end as “President Barack Obama leaves” his post in the month of January in 2017.

Yet, there is hope for Iran, as the western diplomats assure that disobeying the resolution on nuclear agreement of the security council may actually weaken U.S. stance and reduces any possible attempt in the future by the “Republicans in Washington”.

The attempts are being made to arrive at the broad outlines of the nuclear contract which could then be completed in toto by the end of June so as to put a ban of at least a decade on Iran on executing any activities related to nuclear technology. In return, there are talks of terminating bans on the Republic of Islam in a gradual manner. The areas of discussion covered so far have touched upon the energy and finance authorization on Iran to be lifted, for which especially Tehran showed a keen interest. A parallel talk of moderating the resolution passed by the U.N., including its security council consisting of fifteen member countries, on the matter nuclear sanction in the December of 2006.

It is said that the conformation of the sanction still hangs in the doubtful air, as there are many issues needs to be addresses and sorted out before that. However, official sources asserted that “the International Atomic Energy Agency” would keep Iran under strict observation and added that:
“…ending all sanctions would be contingent on compliance with the terms of any deal”.
