The Women’s Enterprise Development Center (WEDC), a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting economic independence for women through small business development, has received a $15,000 grant from KeyBank Foundation, the charitable arm of KeyBank. This funding will support WEDC’s Entrepreneur Growth Lab, a program designed to guide entrepreneurs through the process of starting, managing, and growing their businesses. The Lab offers high-quality training, advisory services, and access to capital, with a focus on driving economic growth in Westchester County and the Hudson Valley.

Serving over 1,200 clients annually, WEDC primarily supports low-to-moderate-income women and minorities interested in entrepreneurship. The organization recognizes the unique challenges faced by clients, not just as business owners, but often as individuals navigating personal obstacles on their entrepreneurial journeys. WEDC also provides MWBE training and certification support, offering workshops for New York State certification in both English and Spanish to make these resources more accessible to BIPOC communities.
