Linette Bumford has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, from her accomplished military career to her impactful role at CACI. Her unwavering commitment embodies the spirit of the Airman’s Creed: “I will never falter, and I will not fail.”

Bumford’s journey began in 1996 when she enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, specializing in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Her responsibilities spanned supply chain operations, accounting, inventory oversight, and logistical coordination to ensure critical materials were always available for mission success.

Her time in active duty was defined by remarkable achievements, including the 1998 Achievement Medal from the 838th Engineering and Installation Squadron and recognition as Airman of the Year in 1999 by the 11th Supply Squadron. These accolades highlighted her dedication and positioned her as a standout leader among her peers.

Reflecting on her service, Bumford said, “My experience as a senior airman encompassed diverse challenges that laid the groundwork for program management and operational excellence. Each milestone added to a skill set that would prove invaluable in leadership roles later on.”

Her Air Force tenure shaped her professional ethos, instilling discipline, a commitment to excellence, and a profound sense of duty. These qualities became the foundation of her success when she joined CACI in July 2014.

As Quality Program Assurance Executive Director, Bumford ensures the development and implementation of management systems that consistently exceed industry standards. Her dedication supports over 24,000 CACI employees, emphasizing precision, accountability, and continuous improvement. “My military background instilled a strong commitment to service,” Bumford noted, “which drives me to enhance quality and consider the broader impact of our work on clients and communities.”

Bumford’s dedication to service extends beyond her role. As a leader within CACI’s Veterans Employee Resource Group (VERG), she has been instrumental in creating a supportive environment for veterans. Formerly the President and now the Executive Sponsor of the Maryland East Chapter, she champions initiatives like mentorship programs, career development, and mental health resources, benefiting veterans and enriching the company’s culture.

“When I joined VERG, my goal was to build a community where veterans felt supported and valued,” Bumford shared. Her efforts ensure veterans’ voices are heard and their contributions celebrated, aligning with CACI’s mission to provide meaningful opportunities for military personnel transitioning to civilian roles.

For Bumford, the most fulfilling aspect of her career is the sense of purpose she finds in her work at CACI. “Transitioning from military to civilian life can be challenging, but CACI honors the unique skills veterans bring,” she said. “I’m proud to be part of a culture that supports and values every team member.”
