The recipients of “Dependable Leader Award” continue to spread positive impact.

Dailycsr.com – 03 October 2016 – On a daily basis many adults bring about positive difference in the youths’ lives which often go unnoticed. Therefore, Maytag in collaboration with Boys & Girls Clubs of America recognise the effort and honours such “executives, staff members and volunteers” of the Club, nominated by the other members, with the “Maytag Dependable Leader Award”.

This year, Maytag shook hands with the “YouTube sensation”, Robby Novak, otherwise known as “Kid President”, whereby the latter helps Maytag in promoting “award nominations” and highlighting the “positive impacts” in children’s lives thanks to such dependable leaders. Moreover, the Senior Brand Manager at Maytag, Brendan Bosch, said:
“Maytag and Boys & Girls Clubs of America both share a heritage of dependability dating back to more than a century, which is why this partnership is such a natural fit. We are so proud to help honor Club members who serve as such reliable and inspiring role models in the lives of our youth, and what better way to get more attention for these deserving members of our community than to partner with Kid President, as one of the leading voices of today’s youth.”

In order to spread the awareness drive on a larger scale, Kid President in association with Maytag launched a video which also promotes “nominations of the Maytag Dependable Leader Award”. In the words of Robby Novak:
“I’m lucky enough to know a lot of awesome grown-ups, like my brother in law, Brad. When adults show kids that you can really count on them, it’s one of the coolest things they can do. If you know someone at a Boys & Girls Club who helps make kids’ lives great, nominate them!”

In the year of 2015, the recipient of the “Maytag Dependable Leader Awards” was Chris Molina, the Operations’ director at Boys & Girls Club in Bakersfield’s “Kern County”. As per Ethical Performance:
“...Chris oversees three clubs and 59 school based sites in Kern County, serving more than 8,000 children per year. Chris started at Boys & Girls Club as a young boy and continues to offer support and mentorship to Club members and youth in the area”.

The recipients of the above mentioned award for leadership are examples of going beyond to bring about positive change in the “lives of others”, whereby demonstrating “dependability, reliability and a commitment to excellence”. Boys & Girls Clubs help young citizens from all over the country to “reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens”, while Maytag thinks that “one dependable adult” is capable of changing the American youths’ future.
