Sands Launches Summer Intern Program: Empowering Future Talent in Hospitality

This summer, Sands initiated a new intern program at its corporate headquarters in Las Vegas, welcoming a group of 10 interns for a 10-week experience. These students and recent graduates were integrated into various corporate functions, including design, product management, hardware and client engineering, corporate treasury, compliance, corporate tax, human resources, and procurement. They engaged in diverse projects and received mentorship from Sands team members.
 
Grace Chen, the manager of talent acquisition for corporate human resources, noted, “From the interns' perspective, our program offered valuable insights into the hospitality industry, allowing them to experience company operations firsthand and assess their career paths.” She added that the company aims to nurture future talent for both Sands and the broader industry, enhancing its reputation among those new to the workforce.
 
The interns were celebrated at graduation events held on August 15 and 22, where they reflected on their experiences and the insights they gained about various career opportunities in the hospitality sector.

The Sands corporate intern program reflects the company's dedication to workforce development and fostering interest in the hospitality sector. Sands has committed to investing $200 million in workforce development initiatives by 2025.
 
In addition to the internship program, Sands is actively involved in hospitality education through partnerships with higher education institutions, scholarship funding, training opportunities for students and professionals, and mentorship from company leaders. By the end of 2023, Sands had already contributed $181 million towards its $200 million workforce development goal for 2025.
