Extreme heat can lead to higher electricity consumption and costs, and the past two summers have seen record temperatures across our service area, resulting in increased energy usage by our customers. At Entergy Mississippi, we are dedicated to helping our customers stay cool while saving money this summer by offering bill management tools, customer support programs, and various assistance events.
 
Entergy has recently introduced an online Bill Toolkit, which provides customers with access to resources for managing bills, improving energy efficiency, and finding financial assistance. This tool offers simple strategies for reducing electricity usage and cutting costs.
 
"Given the extreme temperatures, we remain committed to keeping costs low for our customers, who already benefit from some of the lowest electricity rates in the nation," said Robbie Kemp, vice president of customer service. "We are equipping our customers with the tools they need to monitor their energy use, manage their bills, and find financial support, enabling them to take control of their budgets and save money during these heatwaves."
 
Monitor Your Energy Usage
With tools like myAdvisor, customers can set alerts for electricity usage and monitor their daily energy consumption. Tracking energy use over time helps customers identify patterns that lead to higher bills, allowing them to better manage their monthly expenses. The myAdvisor dashboard provides access to usage details, cost analysis, bill history, projections, and more.
 
Manage Your Bills
Entergy Mississippi offers flexible payment options, allowing customers to choose how, when, and where they receive and pay their bills.
 
The Pick-A-Date feature lets customers select the most convenient time to pay their bills. Level Billing helps even out seasonal fluctuations in energy use, providing more consistent monthly bills. PaperFREE billing delivers bills via email with instant access to two years of billing history. AutoPay ensures bills are automatically deducted from customers’ bank accounts, helping them avoid late fees and the hassle of manual payments.
 
Entergy Mississippi encourages customers in need of additional payment options to reach out before a payment is due. Customers can use our mobile app or myEntergy to see if they qualify for deferred payment arrangements or extensions.
 
Seek Financial Assistance
For customers struggling to pay their bills, Entergy Mississippi is committed to providing support. Throughout the summer, the “Beat the Heat” program focuses on helping low-income customers and communities stay cool and manage their bills.
 
Recently, this program assisted over 400 customers in Cleveland, Mississippi, where Entergy volunteers partnered with Boss Lady Economic Planning Development to distribute energy efficiency kits, box fans, water, lawn chairs, and plastic pools. In Jackson, customers received energy efficiency kits and box fans through a drive-thru event in collaboration with New Horizon Church.

The Power to Care, which offers emergency bill payment aid to seniors and customers with disabilities. Single Stop, a resource that helps customers quickly and confidentially determine their eligibility for federal, state, and local financial assistance. The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, which provides financial aid for energy bills and related expenses.
