Dailycsr.com – 26 October 2017 – On October 20, 2017, the Subaru of America, Inc. made an announcement that its “annual Share the Love Event” is returning in 2017, whereby marking the fiftieth anniversary of the automaker, while for the second consecutive year the company will not put any “cap on the total donation” given to its “Share the Love charitable partners”.
By the end of 2017, Subaru hopes to surpass a donation amount of “$115 million” taking the “creation of Share the Love” as the starting point as a mark to rejoice the “tenth anniversary of the event”. Within the period of “November 16, 2017 to January 2, 2018”, the automaker will be donating “$250” for either every new sale of “Subaru vehicle” or as per “customer's choice”, lease to any of the four national charities “with a minimum guarantee of $250,000”. Here is a list of the charities, as mentioned by the Ethical Performance:
“The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals® (ASPCA®), Make-A-Wish, Meals on Wheels America and National Park Foundation”.
However, seeing the participation of retailer, “pre-approved Hometown Charities” could also receive Subaru’s donation. The automaker’s Senior Vice President of Marketing, Alan Bethke said:
“It is part of our culture at Subaru to support causes important to our employees, retailers and owners and we are proud to have continued that tradition for ten consecutive years. Through the Share the Love event, we are excited to continue our commitment to support our national and hometown charity partners and aim to donate $115 million in total by the end of this year’s campaign.”
Furthermore, the Ethical Performance informed:
“In addition to the four national charity partners, Subaru retailers will again select a hometown charity for their customers to support. This year, more than 660 local charitable organizations are participating in the Subaru Share the Love event. With some retailers adding their own donations to the hometown charities, total donations by Subaru and its participating retailers are expected to exceed previous years”.
