Whirlpool Corporation recently hosted its 21st annual Community Charity Golf Event, successfully raising $3.2 million for local youth programs in the area surrounding their headquarters. Over the past 20 years, the event has generated over $34 million to support organizations such as the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Southwest Michigan, First Tee of Benton Harbor, and the public school foundations in Benton Harbor, Lakeshore, and St. Joseph, Michigan, benefiting around 10,000 young people.

Pam Klyn, Whirlpool's executive vice president of corporate relations and sustainability, expressed gratitude for the volunteers, participants, and sponsors who make the event possible. “This event is the largest fundraiser for these organizations and plays a crucial role in their ability to support local youth,” she said. “Investing in our community's young people is investing in our future, and the impact of this charity golf event has been profound over the past 20 years.”

The event saw participation from over 800 individuals who played across six local golf courses over two days. Attendees also had the chance to take part in a silent auction and enjoy a fireside chat with NFL Hall of Famer Charles Woodson and PGA Champions Tour player Jay Haas.
