While working on laying new bricks around manhole at “Millbank site” in London, workers receive severe electric burns.

Dailycsr.com – 30 December 2015 – Cutting into a “live 11,000v electrical cable” caused catastrophe, while a “labourer and a bricklayer” were the unfortunate victims. As a result, two of the building contractors had to visit the court. The victims were burned alive after they cut into the electric cable while they were working in the “House of Lords”.

On Friday, the 18th December 2015, the Southwark Crown Court “was told” that both the workers were working at the “Millbank site” in London on the 1st of July 2013, whereby they were laying bricks “around a manhole”.

One of the workers, aged twenty two, was attempting to remove “old brickwork”, with the help of a jackhammer and in the process, he hit the electric cable. He received “serious burns” on his legs, hands, arms, and faces due to which he remained hospitalised for almost an entire month.
