12/21/2015

Coupa believes in responsible business practices, whereby it will donate a percentage of its savings gathered through “cloud-based spend management”.

Dailycsr.com – 17 December 2015 – In an announcement, the Coupa Software revealed that the leading “cloud-based spend management” will donate the savings “generated” from the “Coupa Advantage program” in an effort to continuously “support humanitarian efforts by select charities”.

In an initiative to enhance the “collective buying power” through over “$120B” of Coupa’s customers spending, the company acts like leverage and negotiates “contracts from premier business suppliers”, whereby offering “savings on everyday purchases”. Moreover, a certain percentage that comes from the savings is marked separately for “charitable contributions”.

In the words of the C.O.O at the United Way of the Bay Area, Eric McDonnell:
“The contributions from Coupa get us closer to meeting our visionary goal of ending the cycle of poverty in the Bay Area. This is the first time we have partnered with an internet technology company, and we are excited to work together as change makers to ensure all Bay Area residents have the opportunities they need to thrive.”

Bobby Majka from the World Vision Area, speaks about Coupa’s contribution that will impact thousands of children’s life in a global scale:
“Coupa’s contribution will go into the budget for this campaign and then reviewed by a committee that will decide where the money will go and for what need. The need is just absolutely immense. There are approximately one billion people still living in extreme poverty. In fact, approximately 17,000 children die every day due to preventable causes. Coupa’s donation will assist in helping us reduce that statistic in more than 100 countries.”

We’re humbled by our role in contributing to the greater good.”

Coupa looks at its CSR activities as an essential part of business as “forward-thinking companies embed sustainability into the core of their business operations”, whereby they create a “shared value for business and society”. While, Brian Abrams, C.E.O of Corporate Imaging Concepts remarked:
“Being a good corporate citizen is important to us and we’re always thinking of creative ways to do more with our resources. When Coupa showed us how the additional business we are getting from Coupa customers has simultaneous impact on the community, we were thrilled to see our business helping people. We’re proud to be a part of this giving community.”
