Cummins India Limited, a prominent provider of power solutions technology, has introduced REDEFINE 2024, its annual business school (B-school) case study competition. The initiative invites budding business leaders to showcase their strategic, innovative, and analytical capabilities by tackling real-world business challenges.
This year's competition centers around the theme: “How Digital Solutions Enable Sustainability in Traditional Businesses?” Participants are tasked with exploring how digitalization can enhance sustainability in traditional industries. Key areas of focus include strengthening Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting, identifying ways to reduce Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, and improving operational efficiency.
Anupama Kaul, Human Resources Leader at Cummins India, emphasized the importance of the event, saying, “At Cummins India, we are passionate about fostering future leaders who can shape the dynamic business landscape. Our case study competition has always been a vital part of this mission. As sustainability and technology continue to redefine industries, this platform offers students a chance to demonstrate how digital solutions can drive transformative change.”
Adding to this, Subramanian Chidambaran, Director of Corporate Strategy at Cummins India, remarked, “Through REDEFINE, we encourage students to move beyond traditional thinking and explore how technology can revolutionize conventional industries for a more sustainable tomorrow. By engaging with these bright minds, we aim to gain fresh perspectives and develop innovative solutions, further reflecting our commitment to excellence and progress in the industry.”
The competition is open to first and second-year students enrolled in two-year flagship PGP, PGDM, PGDBM, or MBA programs across 18 partner B-schools in India. It will conclude with a two-day grand finale at the Cummins India office in Pune, Maharashtra, on November 14-15, 2024. The winning team will receive a cash prize and exclusive access to Cummins India’s mentorship program, designed to cultivate the next generation of business leaders. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage with company leaders through various interactive sessions.
