07/31/2024

The 2024 sustainability report evaluates how organizations are performing with respect to climate initiatives, such as the 1.5°C Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) or the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). It assesses scope 1 and 2 emissions, energy usage, and the proportion of renewable energy used in company operations.

SAP has long prioritized sustainability as a fundamental aspect of its mission and activities. Through a wide range of ERP-focused, cloud-based, and AI-driven sustainability solutions, SAP supports clients in 26 industries in enhancing their sustainability efforts. This involves developing enduring strategies for climate, resource management, and social impact; integrating sustainable practices into business operations and supply chains; and fostering long-term business success. SAP is also dedicated to reaching net-zero emissions across its entire value chain by 2030, a goal set 20 years ahead of its initial target.

According to Daniel Schmid, SAP’s Chief Sustainability Officer, “With our customers contributing to 87% of global commerce, SAP is uniquely positioned to foster a more sustainable world.
