At Griffith Foods, we believe in the strength of community and the power of collective action to create meaningful change. In FY23, the Griffith Cares team across Europe and Africa organized the "One Day Griffith Cares Challenge," inviting our entire workforce to support important community causes.
A highlight of this initiative in Europe was a 24-hour event where participants cycled and walked, raising donations for every kilometer completed. The European team went above and beyond by organizing a virtual sponsored tour. Initially set to cover the distance from Dublin to London, they surpassed expectations, completing a round trip back to Dublin and covering an incredible 5,200 km. This effort raised €39,000 (nearly $42,000) for the Ronald McDonald House Foundation, an organization that helps families stay close to their children during hospital stays. The route took participants through major cities such as Edinburgh, Amsterdam, Brussels, and Paris, spreading awareness and amplifying the impact.
This initiative not only benefited the community but also motivated and united our employees. It allowed them to contribute without any personal expense, promoting the Griffith Cares mission and translating our purpose into action.
