Record-Breaking $140M Donations on GivingTuesday via Benevity
Benevity, Inc., a leading provider of global corporate social responsibility solutions, announced that its platform facilitated over $140 million in donations to nonprofits on GivingTuesday. This achievement represents another significant milestone in charitable contributions and volunteer efforts, with participation from 637 companies this year.

More than 148,000 individuals joined forces to support over 56,000 nonprofits spanning 122 countries and territories. Benevity reported a 2% year-over-year increase in average donation amounts per donor. Among the most-supported causes were St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, American Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders, and United Way Greater Toronto.

“In a year characterized by polarization, economic challenges, and a complex social climate for businesses, the corporate sector has showcased the unifying power of purpose and generosity,” said Christopher Maloof, Benevity’s CEO. “The exceptional results of this year’s GivingTuesday reflect the corporate community’s steadfast commitment to making a positive impact. We’ve seen growth not only in monetary donations but also in volunteering, as companies and their employees align their efforts to create meaningful change.”

This year, corporate initiatives extended beyond donations and matching programs to include a strong focus on volunteerism. Participation in volunteer activities surged, with over 21,000 individuals logging nearly 260,000 volunteer hours—a 17% increase compared to 2023.

Asha Curran, CEO of GivingTuesday, highlighted the significance of this collective effort: “This year’s record-breaking donations and participation underscore the extraordinary power of working together. Through partnerships with organizations like Benevity, we united millions, raising $3.6 billion in the U.S. alone. Every contribution, whether through donations or acts of kindness, embodies the enduring spirit of generosity worldwide.”
