KeyBank Partners with Elmwood Park Zoo to Fund Mobile Education Program
KeyBank and Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown, Pennsylvania, have announced a new community partnership that will provide funding for the Zoo-On-Wheels program. This mobile zoo visits over 400 schools and community groups across Montgomery County annually. The three-year sponsorship agreement includes KeyBank's branding on a Zoo-On-Wheels vehicle, as well as opportunities for the bank to host events and offer zoo access to clients, employees, and community members. Thanks to KeyBank's support, the zoo plans to introduce a new vehicle to the Zoo-On-Wheels fleet in January, expanding its ability to bring educational experiences to more communities.

“As a bank committed to supporting the communities we serve, we are proud to partner with Elmwood Park Zoo,” said Youseff Tannous, KeyBank Eastern Pennsylvania Market President. “This sponsorship allows us to promote our brand while backing the zoo’s educational efforts, including the Zoo-On-Wheels program. It's a chance to entertain our clients, show our commitment to Montgomery County, and celebrate the incredible work the zoo does for local residents.”

KeyBank officially launched the partnership with an event at the zoo on October 1, 2024, attended by zoo leaders, board members, and 150 KeyBank staff and their families, who enjoyed refreshments and private animal exhibit viewings.

"We're extremely thankful to KeyBank for their support," said Al Zone, Executive Director and CEO of Elmwood Park Zoo while adding, "Our Zoo-On-Wheels program helps us reach out to the community, and while our educational team has done an excellent job expanding it, we rely on partners like KeyBank who share our commitment to supporting nonprofits and the community."

He also highlighted the zoo's 100th anniversary this year, and noted that it was the first zoo in the world to be Autism-certified.
