Adobe Ensures Smooth Distance Learning For Students During COVID-19 Lockdown

Adobe provides at home access to its apps to students and teachers alike till May 31, 2020.


Dailycsr.com – 31 March 2020 – In the last few weeks, the world seems to have more realised the power of distant learning as in this uncertain period schools, businesses and communities could remain “strong and resourceful”. All this was maintaining “learning and business continuity” while finding creative ways.
 
Many schools had to closed down their physical campus and turned to online learning options as COVID-19 outbreak seems to grip the world. Likewise, in an announcement Adobe revealed that it would be providing “greater access to Adobe Creative Cloud desktop apps” to ensure smooth functioning of distance learning. As the company said:
“We believe that doing so will make it possible to keep coursework, teamwork, and student progress on track through at-home access to Creative Cloud for students and educators”.
 
Adobe started this initiative from March 13, 2020, whereby the “higher education and K-12 institutional customers” from across the world using its “Creative Cloud apps” will be able to make the same “available to students” as well as educators at their home on a temporary arrangement. The said facility will be exist will May 31, 2020, while no additional charge will be applicable for the same. While Adobe also added:
“We also know that delivering engaging experiences through distance learning is a new paradigm for many teachers and faculty. Through our community, we’ve curated resources to help educators and school leaders discover inspiring projects, best practices, and new ideas so they can continue to drive valuable learning in virtual environments”.
 
Adobe also plays a vital role in the functioning of “schools, businesses, and government agencies”, as the company started offering “free 90-day access to Adobe Connect, our web conferencing solution, until July 1, 2020” starting from the beginning of this month. Thanks to this offer, users will be able to join “meetings, trainings, and virtual classrooms” without leaving the safety of their house. According to Adobe:
“As our education customers work to ensure both safety and learning continuity in their communities, it is our goal to help them with the tools they need to move through these uncertain times. Our commitment to do so in a seamless way continues to be unwavering”.
