Truist Foundation to donate $1M to communities affected by hurricane Ian in Florida
In a statement the Truist Foundation announced donations worth $1million in support of relief and recovery efforts in communities affected by Hurricane Ian in Florida.
The Truist Foundation will donate $200,000 to each of the three communities that have been affected in Florida as a measure of disaster relief.
In addition, the Truist Foundation will donate $400,000 to the Center for Disaster Charity's (CDP) Atlantic Hurricane Season Recovery Fund for Hurricane Ian. The CDP focuses on meeting medium- to long-term needs such as home and livelihood rebuilding, mental health services, and other challenges identified by communities as recovery efforts progress.
"Our hearts are with our teammates, clients and communities impacted by the devastation of Hurricane Ian and those who remain in the path of this storm," said Truist Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Bill Rogers. "The importance of our purpose to inspire and build better lives and communities has never been more clear, and we're committed to helping those in need. We stand ready to help our communities recover and rebuild."

The program aims to provide immediate assistance to communities affected by events like Hurricane Ian. These funds will help protect and assist thousands of families and individuals affected by the storm.
