Cummins Unveils HELM™ Engines & Hydrogen FDS at Bharat Mobility Expo 2025

At the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, Cummins Group in India (“Cummins”), a leading provider of power technology solutions, introduced its next-generation HELM (Higher Efficiency, Lower Emissions, Multiple Fuels) engine platforms. Among the key innovations unveiled were the high-performance L10 engine, an advanced Hydrogen Fuel Delivery System (FDS) featuring Type IV on-vehicle storage vessels, and the state-of-the-art B6.7N natural gas engine.

These technologies were presented within an integrated powertrain concept, demonstrating Cummins' in-depth understanding of the Indian Commercial Vehicle (CV) sector and its dedication to meeting both current industry needs and future environmental standards.

Introducing Cummins HELM Engine Platforms
The HELM engine platforms embody Cummins’ strategic approach to advancing engine technology, focusing on efficiency, sustainability, and high performance. These platforms offer flexible fuel options, allowing customers to select from advanced diesel, natural gas, or hydrogen-powered variants based on their operational and sustainability goals.

Built to comply with evolving environmental regulations, the platform features a standardized base structure that supports multiple fuel-specific engine versions. This innovation equips businesses with the tools needed to achieve their sustainability targets while maintaining high performance.

Key Product Highlights at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025
  • L10 Engine: Developed on the 10-liter HELM platform, this next-generation engine enhances logistics efficiency, boosts productivity, and reduces emissions. Fully compliant with BSVI emission standards, it also serves as the foundation for future BSVII and Euro 7 engines for the Indian market. The innovative design highlights Cummins’ engineering expertise, ensuring compliance with current regulations while remaining adaptable for future requirements.
  • Hydrogen Fuel Delivery System (FDS): A cutting-edge 350-bar and 700-bar hydrogen fuel system equipped with Type IV storage vessels for on-vehicle hydrogen storage. This system is a significant advancement in promoting hydrogen adoption in India’s commercial vehicle industry, addressing critical challenges in fuel storage and delivery.
  • B6.7N Natural Gas Engine: Engineered to deliver performance on par with diesel engines while significantly reducing carbon emissions, the B6.7N supports CNG and LNG fuel integration for heavy-duty vehicles. This innovation underscores Cummins’ commitment to enabling fleet operators to transition to cleaner energy without compromising cost-efficiency, reliability, or operational performance.
