A lively buzz filled the atmosphere at three of PSE&G’s Customer Care centers recently, as business customers gathered to have their questions addressed and strengthen their connection with their PSE&G energy partners.
Jamie Kujawski, CEO and owner of Star Energy and a key participant in energy efficiency programs, was eager to attend the Business Connect event in New Brunswick.
“This is a great opportunity to engage with the people working behind the scenes,” Jamie noted. “Meeting in person and forming relationships in these smaller forums makes it much easier to resolve issues.”
While reviewing his well-organized notebook of state regulations, he praised New Jersey’s commitment to clean energy, stating that it offers one of the most customer-friendly energy efficiency programs he has seen. However, Jamie also had important questions regarding certain process details before the next program cycle begins in January 2025. He appreciated the one-on-one interactions at the event, which he believes will help him better serve his hotel and restaurant clients moving forward.
“The first 20 minutes alone were incredibly valuable,” he added.
Atul Sethi, Property Manager at Paragon Estates, attended the event with two specific goals: to gain better insights into managing his multiple accounts and to learn more about energy efficiency programs and EV rebate opportunities. He found the workshop highly beneficial, achieving both objectives.
Similar Business Connect events were also held in Hackensack and Trenton, covering topics ranging from renewable energy solutions to smart meter usage and bill management. Representatives from the U.S. Small Business Administration were among the special guests.
“Our small business customers share our commitment to both the communities we serve and environmental responsibility,” said Nicole Swan-Bennett, Senior Director of Customer Care, who participated in all the events. “These face-to-face interactions allow us to build relationships and provide guidance on energy savings, cost reduction through efficiency programs, and bill payment options. They also give us a chance to listen to the needs and priorities of business owners in PSE&G’s service area so we can better support them.”
