Employee Spotlight: Manoj Kumar Rajasekar on Career, Culture, and Community at GoDaddy
Hello everyone! I’m Manoj Kumar Rajasekar, currently a Software Development Engineer III on the PCP Team. I’ve been with GoDaddy for the past two years. In addition to my technical duties, I’m actively involved with GD Asians, our Employee Resource Group (ERG) that promotes personal and professional development for the Asian, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities and their allies. I was drawn to GoDaddy because I wanted to connect with and support other Asians within the company. As part of the ERG, I work as a Recruiter, helping new members integrate and feel welcomed.
What has been one of your proudest moments at GoDaddy?
One of my proudest achievements at GoDaddy was successfully launching a product by migrating it from Cloud UI to PCP. I initiated the project, gathered requirements from scratch, collaborated with partner teams, and managed its smooth migration without any surprises.
What do you want your colleagues, neighbors, and friends to take away from Asian Heritage Month?
Asian Heritage Month has been a fantastic opportunity to celebrate and explore the rich cultural diversity of Asian heritage. The goal is to embrace and understand the many fascinating aspects of Asian cultures.
Who are some mentors or public figures from your community that have influenced you in your life or professional career?
I draw significant inspiration from Satya Nadella, the CEO of Microsoft. I first learned about him during my undergraduate studies in India when I read about his appointment as CEO. His leadership skills and journey have been a continuous source of motivation for me. Nadella, along with many other influential figures from the Asian community, has had a lasting impact on my personal and professional life.
What’s your motto or personal mantra?
My personal mantra is to keep learning, work hard, and take it easy.
