Mental health is an integral part of overall health, and it's time we start treating it as such. This concept is central to World Mental Health Day (October 10), and Paramount is fully committed to raising awareness of mental health challenges and mobilizing support. Today, Paramount is announcing the global expansion of its "Mental Health is Health" campaign, which is aimed at providing essential resources to promote mental well-being worldwide.
As part of its ongoing dedication to mental health, Paramount is rolling out a series of initiatives that began in May 2024, designed to help individuals take care of their mental health. These efforts, launched in conjunction with Mental Health Action Day, aim to raise awareness of often overlooked mental health issues, offer tools to support oneself and loved ones, and celebrate those making a difference in the mental health space.

The initiatives include:
- From Me To You, a short video series featuring local musicians, celebrities, and influencers sharing personal stories and experiences with mental health to raise awareness, challenge stigma, and inspire action. The series was produced in France, Brazil, South Africa, and the UK to elevate the "Mental Health is Health" initiative using local voices and guide audiences to www.mentalhealthishealth.tv for global support and services. It will be released on October 10th across MTV’s local social media channels, with artists like Poppy Ajudha, Thom Rylance (The Lottery Winners), and Henry Moodie (UK); Dana and Jessy (Germany Shore); Yo Soy Matt (Mexico); and several South African artists, including radio DJ "Fresh by Caddy", musician Dee Koala, hip hop artist Gigi Lamayne, and choreographer Hope Ramafalo.
- World Mental Health Day PSA: A Public Service Announcement is being broadcast across Paramount's global channels and platforms, encouraging viewers to take action on their mental health and visit www.mentalhealthishealth.tv for resources. The PSA is airing across multiple international markets, including Pluto TV, Comedy Central, MTV, BET International, and more.
- Partnership with Change X: Paramount has teamed up with Change X to launch the World Mental Health Day Community Fund, which supports community projects aimed at improving mental health in the UK, Australia, Canada, and other countries. So far, 80 projects across 10 nations have received funding.
- Collaboration with Born This Way Foundation**: This partnership promotes the Be There Certificate, a free online course created by Jack.org and Born This Way Foundation, available in English, French, and Spanish. The course helps people recognize mental health challenges and guide those in need to appropriate help.
- Throughline Collaboration: Paramount is also promoting Throughline’s Find A Helpline platform, which provides audiences with access to vetted mental health services worldwide.
- MTV EMAs Creators House: As part of Paramount’s Content for Change event series, this social impact initiative will take place from November 7-9 in Manchester, focusing one full day on mental health with panel discussions, activations, and networking for the creative community.
- Mental Health Storytelling Roundtable: On September 26, 2024, Paramount Global and Prospira Global hosted a roundtable in New York to foster global partnerships between the media and mental health sectors, exploring the role of storytelling in promoting mental health globally.
