Keysight Technologies Signs VPPA with Southern Power for 100% Renewable Energy

Keysight Technologies, Inc. has entered into a virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA) with Southern Power, a major U.S. wholesale energy provider and a subsidiary of Southern Company. Through this agreement, Keysight will obtain renewable energy credits from a 39-megawatt (MW) portion of the Phase III expansion of the Millers Branch Solar Facility.

This VPPA reinforces Keysight’s commitment to supporting renewable energy initiatives and addressing climate change. The Phase III expansion, located in Haskell County, Texas, is projected to begin commercial operations in the first quarter of Keysight’s fiscal year 2027.

The renewable energy generated from Keysight’s share of the project is expected to match 100% of the company’s electricity usage across the United States and Canada. This initiative represents a major step toward Keysight’s sustainability goals, including its near-term science-based targets and its objective of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions in company operations by the end of fiscal year 2040.
