Northwestern Mutual honors the exceptional volunteer efforts of its financial professionals annually through the Community Service Awards (CSA) program. This year, 16 advisors and representatives were acknowledged for their significant contributions to their communities, resulting in $295,000 in grants to nonprofits nationwide. Bradley May, a wealth management advisor at Northwestern Mutual – Milwaukee and a resident of the local Milwaukee area, has been recognized as one of the recipients of the 2024 Most Exceptional Community Service Award. He has been granted $25,000 for Solstice Sanctuary.
Steve Radke, president of the Northwestern Mutual Foundation, emphasized the company's commitment to prioritizing people. He highlighted the efforts of their dedicated financial advisors, who not only focus on securing better futures for their clients but also actively contribute to their communities through philanthropic endeavors. Solstice Sanctuary, co-founded by May's wife and close associates, offers a safe haven for both animals and humans who have endured trauma and abuse. It fosters an environment where healing, learning, growth, and safety are promoted for all beings involved. May's personal connection to animals and his firsthand experience of the healing power of human-animal bonds drive his dedication to Solstice Sanctuary's mission.
May expressed his gratitude for the grant provided through Northwestern Mutual's Community Service Awards Program, emphasizing its potential to expand the sanctuary's reach and impact, thus enabling more individuals to experience healing and growth. The longstanding commitment of Northwestern Mutual, spanning 29 years, has resulted in nearly $7 million in donations to nonprofits supported by financial professionals across the nation.
