Northwestern Mutual & Evan DiMaggio Join Fight Against Childhood Cancer
Northwestern Mutual – Upstate SC has partnered with Furman Paladin senior linebacker Evan DiMaggio to take part in the national Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation Cancer Champion Competition.
This initiative connects student-athletes from Football Championship Subdivision schools with local Northwestern Mutual offices to raise funds supporting research for improved treatments and cures for childhood cancer.
Participants like Evan are engaging their communities by encouraging donations through various means, such as mobilizing friends and family, reaching out to teammates and alumni networks, and utilizing social media to highlight the #LemonTopChallenge. For every completed challenge, Northwestern Mutual contributes $10 to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, up to a total of $100,000.
“Evan and his fellow players are making a remarkable difference both on and off the field. It's inspiring to see communities, businesses, and universities come together to support these athletes in such an important cause,” shared John Tripoli, managing director of Northwestern Mutual’s Upstate South Carolina offices.
