Dow Announces Leadership Changes: New Presidents for P&SP and Industrial Intermediates & Infrastructure
Dow has announced several leadership changes within the company. Following the recent appointment of Karen S. Carter as Chief Operating Officer, Keith Cleason has been named president of the Packaging & Specialty Plastics (P&SP) segment. He will be responsible for overseeing the business performance of this segment, taking over from Carter. Additionally, Cleason will now have executive oversight for Latin America, with the transition starting immediately.

Cleason’s new role will involve advancing the growth of P&SP while aligning with Dow's sustainability goals. His extensive industry experience will play a crucial role in shaping the business strategy, managing resources, and ensuring Dow maintains its market leadership. "Keith’s strategic thinking and proven leadership make him the ideal person to lead P&SP through this transformative phase. His vision and expertise will be key to advancing our sustainability objectives while ensuring we maintain our competitive edge," said Carter.

Cleason joins his new role with significant experience, most recently as business vice president for Olefins, Aromatics & Alternatives (OA&A) and Univation Technologies. He has been with Dow since 2001 and has held key positions, including senior global asset director for Polyethylene and global business director for both LDPE and HDPE.

In another leadership change, Jane Palmieri, president of the Industrial Intermediates & Infrastructure segment, will retire on March 31, 2025, after over 30 years at Dow. Palmieri has played a pivotal role in the company’s success, leading businesses with annual sales exceeding $16 billion, including Polyurethanes, Chlor-Alkali & Vinyl, and Industrial Solutions. She has also overseen Dow's operations in Asia Pacific and Latin America and contributed to the MobilityScience platform.

"Jane’s visionary leadership has had a lasting impact on our company. Her ability to drive innovation and foster growth has been integral to Dow's success," said Dow Chair and CEO Jim Fitterling. Palmieri has held several key roles throughout her career, including leadership positions in Dow Building and Construction, Dow Automotive, and Dow Specialty Chemicals. She also serves on the board of Stanley Black & Decker.

Marco ten Bruggencate has been appointed president of the Industrial Intermediates & Infrastructure segment, succeeding Palmieri. In his new role, ten Bruggencate will also oversee operations in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India (EMEAI), with the transition starting immediately. "Marco has consistently demonstrated the leadership and expertise needed to inspire teams and drive excellence. His extensive experience and commitment to innovation will be critical in advancing our strategic goals," said Carter.

Ten Bruggencate most recently served as president of Dow EMEAI and has held various roles since joining Dow in 2000, including commercial vice president for Packaging and Specialty Plastics in the EMEAI region. He has extensive experience in sales, marketing, and commercial leadership, including roles in Dow Building Solutions and Dow Construction Chemicals.
