Comcast Care Day Extends Invitation For ‘Nation’s Largest Single-Day Corporate Volunteer Effort’

Employees at Comcast volunteers to reach out to communities in order to make positive impacts by sharing their “professional skills”.


Dailycsr.com – 17 January 2018 – Throughout the year, Comcast NBCUniversal embraces its “core value” of creating a “positive impact in the communities” its employees work and live. As a result, Comcast’s employees provide mentorship to local school students at “Comcast offices” that are spread across the nation, while the said endeavour is carried out with the partnership of “Big Brothers Big Sisters”.
 
Furthermore, acting as ambassadors, these employees cater to their respective communities’ “underserved families” whereby bridging “the digital divide through access to technology”. In fact, Comcast employees also “share their, professional skills” in the field of human resources, legal expertise and marketing to mention a few in an attempt to “strengthen” not for profit organisations.
 
Annually, the company celebrates its “year-round commitment to communities” delivered through “Comcast Cares Day”, this year’s “Comcast Cares Day” for Comcast Company will be held on April 21, 2018.
 
Over hundred thousand volunteers will participate with their “co-workers, family and friends” in various works such as beautification of schools, renovation of parks, “hosting coding workshops” and so on. While, the Comcast Corporation informs that:
“In 2017, volunteers improved more than 1,000 parks, schools, beaches and other community sites in the United States and 22 other countries. Since 2001, more than 930,000 Comcast Cares Day volunteers have donated their time and skills to improve nearly 9,300 projects across the United States and around the world”.
 
Moreover, the company also known that it is not the company alone that makes the mentioned impacts possible. As a result, it extends its gratitude towards all the organisations for helping them organise and “manage projects” besides recruiting “additional volunteers”. Naming some of the partners, who have been “instrumental” in the “success of Comcast Cares Day”, the company names:
“Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Big Brothers Big Sisters, City Year, the National Urban League, UnidosUS, and Easterseals”.
