KT&G Scholarship Foundation Honored by Indonesia for Supporting Future Leaders

The KT&G Scholarship Foundation received a plaque of appreciation from Indonesia's Ministry of Industry in recognition of its long-standing commitment to scholarship initiatives. The ceremony took place on December 20 at the Ministry of Industry's office in Jakarta, attended by prominent officials, including Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita and Vice Minister Faisol Riza. The event highlighted the foundation’s role in supporting the development of future global leaders and reinforced collaborative efforts to cultivate Indonesian talent.

Through its scholarship programs, KT&G has selected 74 students from 11 universities, including the Indonesian Polytechnic University affiliated with the Ministry of Industry. Ahn Hong-Pil, Director of the KT&G Scholarship Foundation, emphasized the organization's dedication to acting as a responsible global corporate citizen and its ongoing commitment to fostering talent through location-specific support initiatives.

Established in 2008, the KT&G Scholarship Foundation collaborates with government projects worldwide to develop local talent. Since 2018, its "Global Scholarship Programs" have expanded to offer educational opportunities to outstanding students in Indonesia and other regions.
