Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, has partnered with One Click LCA, a top sustainability software platform for construction and manufacturing, to enhance the precision of environmental assessments in electrification projects.
With buildings accounting for 39% of global energy-related carbon emissions—and half of today’s structures projected to remain in use by 2050—Schneider Electric emphasizes the importance of retrofitting existing buildings. Retrofitting has the potential to lower lifecycle carbon emissions by as much as 83%.
This partnership aims to address a critical challenge in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry: the lack of detailed mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) environmental data. Through the collaboration, One Click LCA users can now access Schneider Electric’s comprehensive environmental data for MEP products, enabling more accurate evaluations of building impacts. This marks a significant milestone as it is the first large-scale availability of such detailed manufacturer data.
