Georgia-Pacific Completes $34M Upgrades at Bradford, PA Facility

01/14/2025

Georgia-Pacific has finalized a series of upgrades to its corrugated facility in Bradford, Pennsylvania, which began in early 2023. This $34 million investment introduced advanced equipment to enhance the plant’s operations.

The improvements include the installation of a rooftop cyclone, a new corrugator, and two converting lines, all designed to increase efficiency. These updates boost the plant’s production capacity, enable the handling of larger products, and allow for four-color printing, better aligning with customer demands.

“Although the upgrades took time, we are thrilled to now have a modernized facility that our employees, customers, and the community can take pride in,” said Daniel Brooks, area general manager. “Our dedicated team here in Bradford is committed to the community, and this investment positions us to deliver high-quality corrugated boxes to customers across Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio, and western/central New York.”

In addition to the facility enhancements, Georgia-Pacific demonstrated its commitment to the community by donating $10,000 to the Bradford Township Fire Department to support the purchase of new fire trucks.

“We aim to be valued partners in the community, just as we are with our employees and customers,” said Mario Williams, area operations leader. “This contribution helps ensure the fire department has the resources needed to operate safely and effectively.”

Georgia-Pacific has operated the Bradford facility since 1990, employing approximately 125 people. Over the past decade, the plant has received more than $40 million in capital investments.
