This holiday season, Entergy delighted customers by bringing back "Operation Secret Santa." At the Canal Street Customer Care Center, selected customers received a heartwarming surprise as Santa and Entergy leaders stepped in to cover their utility bills. This was made possible through The Power to Care, a program dedicated to supporting low-income families and households.
First introduced in 2014, "Operation Secret Santa" was inspired by the sight of customers enduring cold weather to settle their bills before the holidays. Over the years, this initiative has provided more than $60,000 in utility payment assistance, helping families enjoy the season without the added stress of financial worries.
"Operation Secret Santa embodies the true spirit of the holidays," said Deanna Rodriguez, president and CEO of Entergy New Orleans. "With The Power to Care, we can assist customers with their utility bills, spreading comfort and joy to those who need it most."
Through The Power to Care, Entergy partners with local nonprofits, dedicated employees, and generous customers to offer emergency bill payment assistance to seniors and individuals with disabilities facing challenges. Since its launch in 2008, the program has raised over $50 million, providing support to more than 250,000 customers in need.
As the holiday season nears, Entergy encourages everyone to join in supporting neighbors in need. Your contributions can make a meaningful difference, helping struggling families keep their homes warm and their lights on during the colder months.
