The Parker Family Health Center (PFHC), a provider of free medical services to uninsured and underinsured residents of Monmouth County, NJ, recently unveiled its newly renovated and expanded facility with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Representatives from Quest Diagnostics were present to offer their support.
Located in Red Bank, NJ, PFHC benefits from no-cost lab testing provided by Quest Diagnostics through the Quest for Health Equity (Q4HE) initiative. The facility’s upgrades include additional exam rooms, versatile conference spaces, private areas for patients, and enhanced telehealth services, along with a dedicated phlebotomy room.
“We deeply appreciate the support of Quest Diagnostics and the Quest for Health Equity team, which enables us to offer on-site lab testing instead of requiring patients to visit a hospital for bloodwork,” said Suzy Dyer, Executive Director of PFHC. “This vital service expands access to healthcare for our patients. We were thrilled to celebrate our improved space with members of Quest’s team, as it enhances our ability to serve the community.”
Mike Prevoznik, Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Quest Diagnostics and co-Executive Sponsor of Quest for Health Equity, along with Stacey Ingram, Senior Manager of Quest for Health Equity, attended the event. They toured the updated facility and observed the significant improvements firsthand.
“We are proud to support Suzy Dyer and her dedicated team at PFHC, who play a critical role in providing essential healthcare services to their community,” said Prevoznik. “Their work aligns with Quest’s mission to help build a healthier world, one life at a time.”
Ingram added, “The dedication and passion of the PFHC staff are truly inspiring. Despite the extensive 18-month renovation project, the clinic remained open to ensure uninterrupted care for patients. This level of commitment and teamwork is extraordinary.”
Operating for over 23 years, PFHC has facilitated nearly 190,000 patient visits. Its work is made possible by a small core staff and the efforts of more than 130 volunteer doctors, nurses, interpreters, and administrative personnel.
