Dailycsr.com – 31 December 2019 – Heuliez Bus is a “commercial vehicle brand” of CNH Industrial N.V. which is leading us to a “brighter future”, whereby it introduced “sustainability and innovation” to the township of Groningen in Netherland. As a result, Groningen will have “49 units of fully-electric buses with on-board pantographs”.
The above mentioned buses will be found in the roads of the north Netherlands where the “largest electric fleet” was implemented this month. According to CNH Industrials:
“The Q-link lines paired with Heuliez Bus GX 437 ELECs are connecting the largest cities in the region and while doing so, are giving the passengers a high level of comfort, including USB-connections between the seats, free WiFi and adapted climatization. The 18-meter electric buses can accommodate over 100 passengers”.
The electric model of GX 437 features multiple “innovative designs” for example a “160/200 kW electric traction motor and with an energy and power Li-ion NMCG battery system (250 kWh), located on the roof and in tailgate of the vehicle”. With the help of this unique battery ensemble one has better chances of “overnight” as well as “opportunity charging” that in turn increases its daily operational range.
The said vehicle is capable of covering “120 km on a single charge” while it has also fast charge during the day to extend its range further. This is possible due to the “on-board pantograph”. Furthermore CNH Industrial also added:
“This delivery is further evidence of Heuliez Bus’ leadership and expertise in the field of electric buses and its commitment to increasing the sustainability of urban buses”.
