Tractor Supply and Carhartt launch exclusive collection in support of generating skilled jobs

A percentage of the proceeds from the Merchandise Fundraiser will go towards SkillsUSA.


In a statement Tractor Supply Company the largest rural lifestyle retailer, along with the Tractor Supply Company Foundation and Carhartt, announced the second year of their "Support Industry" collection to further help bridge the trade gap in the country.

Merchandise support has been made available solely at Tractor Supply brick-and-mortar stores; it has an online presence at TractorSupply.com

The 2022 collection, which has been designed by Carhartt, features multicolored shirts with short and long sleeves and three types of hats. 

This year's new line features styles that have been designed centered around women. 

A portion of the proceeds from each item sold will be donated to SkillsUSA, a non-profit organization serving middle school, high school and college/college students preparing for careers in trades, engineering and professional services. 

Tractor Supply Company, the Tractor Supply Company Foundation and Carhartt have each donated $50,000.

In the United States, there is an urgent need for skilled workers. According to the results of a recent survey by Korn Ferry if the current talent shortage is not addressed by 2030, it could result in 85 million vacancies in the job market amounting to nearly $8.5 trillion in unrealized income. 

As per another study done by the Manufacturing Institute, there will be 2 million unfilled manufacturing jobs over the next decade.

SkillsUSA works with students, educators and industry professionals to build a skilled American workforce. Their proven structure provides students with on-the-job academic and technical skills as well as valuable industry connections. The curriculum covers 130 job categories, creating an entry-level talent pipeline. 

By donating to our Support for Trade campaign, SkillsUSA can expand its reach and provide learning opportunities to more students.
