03/11/2025

Introducing the Winners of the 2024 Purple Totes Grant Contest
A big thank you to everyone who took part in this year’s Purple Totes Grant Contest! More than 2,500 team members across the globe came together to collect and donate over 3,000 totes. Now, let’s celebrate the winning teams and discover the incredible nonprofits they chose to support. Each of these organizations will receive a $5,000 USD grant.

Small Division – First Place: Bundle Up Hampton Roads
Representing Norfolk, Virginia, U.S., the Bundle Up Hampton Roads team consists of eight FedEx employees who generously donated 60 purple totes packed with over 300 winter essentials—hats, scarves, gloves, and more—to St. Columba Ecumenical Ministries. The team selected this nonprofit for its meaningful contributions to the local community. St. Columba offers vital services such as a day shelter for the homeless, a clothing closet, a food pantry, and support with transportation, vision, dental care, and prescriptions.

Medium Division – First Place: Western Australia Legendaries
Taking top honors in the medium division, the Western Australia Legendaries team from Perth, Australia, includes 22 dedicated FedEx team members. Together, they donated 22 totes filled with essential items like canned food, milk, coffee and tea, pasta, rice, cereal, and cleaning products to Food Bank Western Australia. This organization plays a crucial role in providing food assistance to nearly 2,929 frontline charities and 3,220 school breakfast programs throughout the country.

Large Division – First Place: Repair Service Center
Leading the large division, the FedEx Repair Service Center (RSC) located in Collierville, Tennessee, U.S., made a significant contribution by donating 550 pounds of food to the Mid-South Food Bank. The 168-member team came together to fill 75 bags with non-perishable food items and essential supplies to support individuals struggling with food insecurity in the Memphis area. The Mid-South Food Bank, part of the Feeding America network, supports families, children, and seniors across Memphis and 31 surrounding counties through food drives, community outreach, and advocacy.
