Cummins Inc. has named Jane Beaman as the incoming Vice President and General Manager of its Components & Software (CCS) Business Unit, effective April 1. She takes over from Shon Wright, who has been appointed President of the Distribution segment. In her new role, Beaman will be responsible for leading the strategic direction, day-to-day operations, and overall performance of CCS, with a focus on maintaining its leadership in innovation and adapting to shifting market demands.
With over two decades of experience at Cummins, Beaman brings extensive knowledge and a strong ability to manage complex business challenges successfully. She is widely respected for her comprehensive understanding of a broad customer base, her talent for forging strong, long-term client relationships, and her adept negotiation skills that consistently result in mutually beneficial outcomes. Beaman’s leadership is marked by her ability to merge high-level strategic thinking with hands-on execution, delivering cutting-edge solutions to meet customer needs.
Most recently, Beaman held the role of Vice President of Global On-Highway & Pickup Business within the Engine Business Unit (EBU). In this capacity, she guided the launch of the 2025 6.7-liter Turbo Diesel Pickup engine system for Ram Heavy Duty—Cummins' most advanced pickup diesel engine to date. She also led global efforts within the On-Highway segment, advancing major growth initiatives to help customers achieve decarbonization goals in a variety of regulatory landscapes.
A strong advocate for diversity and mentorship, Beaman has long supported mentoring initiatives through CBN circles and other programs across the company. She actively supports social equity efforts as a sponsor of the Social Justice workstream for Cummins Advocating for Racial Equity (CARE) and sits on the board of the Women’s Fund of Central Indiana. Her leadership style empowers others to use their voices and passions to drive positive change. Beaman holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University.
