12/16/2024

KeyBank has announced that it has provided funding to 16 organizations in Western Pennsylvania through the state's Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program, with contributions totaling over $525,000.

The EITC program enables individuals and businesses in Pennsylvania to receive a state tax credit of up to 90% of their tax liability for eligible donations. These contributions support either schools offering tuition assistance to low-income students or approved Educational Improvement Organizations.

Vic Laurenza, KeyBank’s Western Pennsylvania Market President, emphasized the importance of education in building stronger communities. “At KeyBank, we are committed to empowering students through support for organizations and programs that deliver critical educational resources. Our goal is to help students excel academically, graduate successfully, and access opportunities that prepare them for college and careers.

The EITC program plays a vital role in enabling us to support organizations that are shaping the next generation of leaders. By investing in education, we’re investing in the future of our communities,” he stated.
