KT&G Scholarship Foundation Honored by Indonesian Ministry for Global Talent Support

The Indonesian Ministry of Industry has recognized the KT&G Scholarship Foundation with a plaque of appreciation for its sustained commitment to providing scholarships. The presentation took place on December 20th at the Ministry of Industry's office in Jakarta. Attendees included the Indonesian Minister of Industry, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, and Vice Minister Faisol Riza, who expressed gratitude for the foundation's role in nurturing future global leaders and reaffirmed their support for its efforts to develop Indonesian talent.

KT&G has selected 74 students from 11 universities, including participants from the Indonesian Polytechnic University affiliated with the Ministry of Industry, to benefit from its scholarship programs. Ahn Hong-Pil, Director of the KT&G Scholarship Foundation, emphasized the organization's dedication to global scholarship initiatives, stating that KT&G aims to "act as a responsible global corporate citizen" and will "continue fostering global talent through diverse, location-specific support programs."

Established in 2008, the KT&G Scholarship Foundation collaborates with government projects worldwide to support the development of local talent. Since 2018, it has expanded its reach through "Global Scholarship Programs," offering educational opportunities to promising individuals in Indonesia and other regions.
