Dailycsr.com – 21 March 2016 – The disabled people depend entire on the help of wheelchairs which allows mobility and instils in them “a renewed sense of living”. In an attempt to lend a helping hand to the disabled people, Amway distributor group Network 21 was arranged for “10,000 wheelchairs” to the poor disabled people who are unable to afford to the same.
Amway distributor group Network 21 “understands” what the wheelchairs signify in the life of a disabled person, whereby the N21 “hand-assembled” many of the wheelchairs that were distributed and delivered the same to their recipients.
The said initiative draws inspiration from a “story in Readers Digest” which recounts the importance of “the Free Wheelchair Mission” providing “new life” to disabled poor ones through wheelchairs and the leader of N21, Jim Dornan was motivated to join in. According to Jim there were “two things” which made him decide to extend a partnership hand towards the “Free Wheelchair Mission”:
“Everyone can afford to buy someone a wheelchair (which cost approximately $77.91 USD), and a wheelchair can change someone’s life!”
After listening to Jim’s statement, “hundreds of people” have come forward to support the endeavour. At present, Network 21 holds the place of the “largest corporate sponsor” for Free Wheelchair Mission.
The affected individuals or the recipients of the wheelchairs not only received a new momentum in their life but also created a ripple of positive impact in their family and friend circles whereby elating them by being mobile. However, the distributors at N21 have put forward themselves a new goal of raising the supply number of wheelchair to “20,000 wheelchairs”.
