Entergy Tops UWSELA's 2023-2024 Most Generous Workplaces List for 10th Consecutive Year
United Way of Southeast Louisiana (UWSELA) recently honored Entergy as the top company in their Top 10 Most Generous Workplaces for 2023-2024, marking the tenth consecutive year Entergy has appeared on this list.
 
UWSELA President and CEO Michael Williamson stated, "Our partnership with Entergy has been crucial in our ongoing efforts to bridge gaps and create opportunities for all individuals in our community to thrive in health, education, and financial stability. Congratulations to Entergy for achieving the top spot, and deep gratitude to our steadfast partners who drive UWSELA's mission to eradicate poverty in Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, and Washington parishes."
 
This annual ranking highlights businesses in UWSELA’s seven-parish service area that contribute to a more vibrant Southeast Louisiana and its residents through employee donations, volunteer work, corporate gifts, in-kind support, and fundraisers. In 2023, Entergy employees and shareholders collectively raised or donated over $1.1 million to UWSELA.

This accolade underscores our unwavering commitment to supporting the communities where we live and work. By partnering with United Way, we are strengthening our workforce, enhancing the local economy, and improving the overall well-being of the communities we serve."
 
Every year, Entergy employees participate in United Way campaigns to support their communities, with company shareholders matching employee contributions dollar-for-dollar to amplify the impact. Through its collaboration with UWSELA, Entergy continues to undertake various initiatives aimed at combating poverty, enhancing education and workforce development, providing financial aid to vulnerable customers, improving community conditions, and caring for the environment.
