Dailycsr.com – 21 November 2016 – The Victory Media who publishes magazines like the “G.I. Jobs®, STEM Jobs and Military Spouse”, named CSX a “2017 Military Friendly® Employer”. This year’s recognition marks the eighth year in a row that CFX appeared in the list.
On the said occasion, CFX’s “Chief Human Resources and Chief Diversity Officer” as well as the vice president, Diana Sorfleet, said:
“Military veterans are a vital part CSX’s success, contributing the critical qualities of ensuring safety and customer focus while delivering compelling results. We are incredibly proud that nearly one in five CSX employees has defended and protected our nation, and CSX is committed to providing veterans with meaningful work and the resources to realize their career goals.”
CSX’s name being featured in the list once again only highlights its commitment and culture that employs “veterans, National Guard and Reservists”. CSX takes pride in its diverse work-force which consists also of veterans who come with “critical skills and experience”, whereby helping the company to “achieve its vision” of being the “safest, most progressive North American railroad” relentlessly striving for customer satisfaction and “employee satisfaction”.
The “Victory Media’s Military Friendly® list” started in the year of 2003 for proving ratings to “company practices”. The ratings are divided under six categories “hiring and onboarding; opportunity and advancement; culture and commitment; support and retention; and, policies and compliance”.
This year’s CSX ratings proved to be the highest for “support and retention”, while “Military Affinity Group” was given “specific attention”; the latter being the “one of CSX’s Business Resource Groups” that focusses on “providing support for local military events and functions”.
